plug on transmission?

looking for the technical part name for the plug on the driver side of a 5 speed out of a 89 b2200 with a 2.2. need to buy one, got ripped out somewere along the line of doing a stock floor body drop.

reverse light switch plug? i think theres another one on the side of the tranny too

Fill plug?

definately not a fill plug...it had 2 electrical wires hanging out that tore out.

Then either backup light switch or neutral safety switch (auto transmissions).

i would assume it is the backup light switch because it is a 5 speed. I have shaved tail lights with no reverse lights, so it shouldnt be a big deal to not have it right?

nope wont be a problem at all if you dont' hook it back up.... either tape or trace the wire and unplug it... you dont' want an electrical short when you go to put it in reverse

your good you dont need the switch any more

i dune away with all wires on mine both sides still works good
