I dunno whats going on?! AHH!

Happened once I got my MSD in and I need to understand what the heck is going on!

I dunno if its just because of the box or if its because of the connections on my coil?

Is'nt the - side for the tach? I think I remedied this before by the coil plug. Its a cheesy plastic plug for the wire and it has a screw that you tighten so it will go in snug.. I think it was loose.

Eh, but not sure, I need more input from a guru!

BTW, when the RPMs smooth out, its because I reved the engine. When its jumpy thats when its at idle.

My after market tach was doing that when one of the plug wires got knocked off. I guess every time your tach drops could be when a cylinder isn't taking its spark because of the wire. It could be as simple as that... Mine was. Just chek all of those connections from the plugs all the way to the coil.

the tach runs off the ground from the alt. check your connection it may have wiggled loose...

The ground from the alt.? What? Lol...

I don't have anything of the sort connected to the alt. Just a + and - to the battery! And some wires on a harness... If it wiggled loose, that would be bad! Means the harness is bad...

Although, I suspect it is'nt anything like that with the alt. I'm thinking some wiring I did when I put the MSD box in is all funky.

I think my problem lies within the plug coil.. Screw does'nt hold it down tight enough...

My engine does'nt miss or run rough so I know the plugwires are fine, except for maybe the coil wire?

When I wired up the MSD it kinda was a hit and miss trial and error thing until it started. LOL! Bad, I know...

What wires are what at the coil? I've got like 2 blue wires on the - side and one seems to connect into the + side on the harness to a yellow and blue?

Eh? dunno...
