ok guys i went on a hell of a road trip to seattle and back my oil light came on so i checked my oil it was a little low but nothing major so i topped it up and it was fine for a while. then it started coming on wen i came to stop lights and would go away wen i started driving again so i checked it again it was fine. anyways i was driving and the temp went through the roof all of the sudden (checked the rad fluid it was good before i left i even topped it up) and i was losing power so i pulled over and it started making like a grinding rattling noise wen i looked under the hood it was pouring rad fluid out the over flow and there seemed to be oil on the front of the motor more on the front passenger side. i checked the oil it wasnt milky so i dont think it is the head gasket. wen it cooled down i tried starting it again and it didnt even seem to want to turn over any ways i got it home (on a trailer) and tried starting it again later on and it did start now it sounds like something is banging around inside my engine anyony have any idea whats up ???? timing chain ??? i dont know. sorry for the huge story but thanks for taking the time to read it and thanks in advance for any info

ya for sure i was wondering why the oil light would be coming on when i didnt have the engine under a load aswell if that had anything to do with it

if the oil pump packed it in that would have caused it to overheat right ?

Sounds like the oil pump went, and you warped the head maybe. 2600s have horrible head designs.

anybody have any advice on what i should do ???

If it overheated you more than likely cracked the head and or warped it too. Those motors are notorious for that. Sounds like you need to pull it apart.
