Cranks same for both trans types?

Maybe a stupid question but, will a 2200 engine that came from an manual trans work with an automatic?
Just thought I would pass this question onto the Mazdaphiles here before I pick up a motor to go into my latest thing to blow my kids inheritance with.
In my past experience with import cars sometimes they use different cranks for auto or manual applications. And was just curious to know if Mazda happens to do the same.

Be careful! B2200 crank != B2000 crank though. One has a deeper recess in the end than the other and the box that comes with it has a longer input shaft!! Found this out the hard way...

Also, if doing that backwards, don't forget to put a pilot bearing in it.
