Ok, the blower motor works on all the settings but it only blows cold on first setting...i hit my ac button, turn it to the 1st blower setting, my compressor kicks on and stays on and it blows ICE cold air...but this is only on the first setting...when switched to the 2nd setting on the blower switch with the ac button on, the compressor kicks off and stays off and just blows vent temp air...this is the case for the 3rd and 4th blower settings as well...anyone have any input or a solution to this problem? thanks - Alex

the same thing was wrong with my mazda. there is some ac wiring right below the glove box so unscrew it and pull it out. right under the bottom lip are some wires tucked in. one of them isnt getting a good groung so figure out which one and fix it

Alex, I talked to my buddy and he said these trucks are known for the fan switches going bad also. Now you have a couple of things to look at anyway.

The a/c relay's contact passes voltage to the pressure switch then to the a/c clutch. Since the clutch is engaging at blower setting #1, the a/c relay and pressure switch are good and the system has refrigerant.
Now, while the a/c relay's coil is triggered by the blower motor control switch and blower resistor, it's either the resistor or the blower motor control switch that is defective.
The blower motor control switch and the resistor provide a ground path for the a/c relay coil.
Good luck.
