my truck is a 88 mazda b2200, auto, 2wd, non f/i. no ac. i have great heat but nothing in the truck for a/c. what do i need to do? hit a junk yard and find a old one? buy a kit (and if so where from?). what is my best bet. i need to do this asap. i know its not cheap, but i do need to take the cheapest route possible.

dad said get a bigger alternator and put a house window unit in the back slider. lol

anyone?

Best bet would be to find a B2000 or 2200 parts truck. That way you could take what you need and resell the rest. Just my .02

Two choices: get a kit from or go the recycled unit route. If you choose the latter, remember such parts are lie 20 years old, and designed to use R-12. I've had to replace (Arizona, used all the time) two compressors, one evaporator, and one blower fan in the 14.5 years I've had mine, and had the high pressure rubber hose line repaired so note that old parts are a gamble.

thanks guys. i think im gonna look into a parts truck. if i find one cheaper then the ackit then ill that route so i can resell to make up for it. if not ill just get the ac kit
