so the battery was dead. ok fixed that. now my truck wont fire. cranks like crazy. hardly had any fuel in the filter so i got a new one and a pump. still aint firing. already done plugs wires cap rotor and coil. also put on a pacesetter. this thing is drivin me nuts.

have you checked the carb to see if the fuel is getting to the engine? front the front of the truck look down at the carb and have someone push the gas pedal and on the left barrel u should see fuel being squirted down into the intake

if i can git someone down here to help i'll try that. it was wet in there after i tried it and smelled like gas.

You changed the Pump, did you take the proper procedure to prime the pump before attempting to start it, i do believe you turn the key on for 15secs intervals for a total of 2-3mins..

Poor abit of gas directly into the carb, and it should start right up, and once the truck starts and has power to it, everything thing else should follow, and continue to feed fuel to the carb, it might run rough at the beginning, if it was sitting for a while though.

run a wire from the + post on the battery to the + terminal on you coil and start it if it works run a toggle switch on your truck

yep^^^^^^^^i had that done to my old truck it was the switch all the acc stuff worked but it didnt run so i done that and voalla it ran

hey wouldnt that be like a ENGINE START button then? yeah i'd be cool! hahaha thanks guys. just got fired. wont be buyin too much for awhile.
