running like crap

i have a 1987 mazda 22k and it has been running like crap for bout a wek (not driving it due to probs) it idles low and stumbles even with acceleration. some blue smoke. change fule filter still problems, change pcv valve and now some black smoke with the blue. im gonna change plugs (due to them being black) as well as the valve cover gasket (needs it) any other suggestion would be apperciative. and i did see on another post that you can go to autozone and they can check the timeing for you??? thanx in advance

Check your plugs, wires, cap...

Could be many different things.

Stumbles with acceleration, Hmm, I had a similar issue, Hesitation off the start, but after i got going it was fine, eventually my fuel pump died, once that was fixed, it was great.

I'd leave it to believe a possible fuel issue, Pump or Carb. Anthings possible.

At high RPM's.. how it is? good? worst? Popping? Backfiring?..

make sure your choke linkage isnt binding up

havent checked anything due to an ass load of rain. i did get it up to 60 on the way home last week with very minimal hesitation. biggest prob is during idel and slight acceleration. biggest concern is the black smoke but i would feel that it is due to the black plugs and poss the valve cover gasket. but whos to say. thanx again guys

You said probs lately with all the rain? Def check your distributor cap, moisture can get in there and cause lots of probs. Where in Spotsy are you?
