If your timings off, First, i'd find top dead center on your #1 cylinder and check you're timing mark and go from there.

put the piston in the first cyclinder up and pull off the distributer cap off and see where the rotor is it should be facing the first cyclinder if not pull the distriduter up and set it to the first cyclinder. it should start then put a timing light on it.

Took forever If was at like 20deg avanced and it was actually running pretty good. I found tdc and set the rotor to the correct location had to do a 180 deg turn on the dist to get it right then timed it to 6deg btdc ran like crap so i advanced it a bit started running better had a flat spot played around with it back and forth between 6 and 10 deg ran sluggish advanced it even more and it runs great now. so I think my cam is a tooth off. does anyone know the tooth count on he cam pullley? I can then figure out which way it needs to be ajusted

when u pull your timing cover off there are obvious marks where everything should be lined up at. thats how you'll know if u r a tooth off or not. its possible fora worn/ stretched belt to jump a tooth. might replace it if so.

I dont think it jumped a tooth its a new belt thats why i think its off a tooth I think they missed it by a notch reinstalling it
