Hey, so i got my b22 on the road have been driving it around for about a month now.. but i knowticed it had a lack of power (especialy when im used to driving big ol V8's:D ) and im not used to workin on them, with all the emmisions crap.

so this weekend my buddy and i were crusing around trying to figure out what the problem was. (he has an 88 accord w/ 120hp and seems to have 3 times as much power) the only thing ive done to the engine is removed the muffler ...
what was happing is it sounded like it hit a rev-limiter at 4000, which seemed odd being a 4 banger and i woundent think it would even have one.... also it had poor power untill it hit about 3000-3500. so just for the hell of it we took the air cleaner top and cartrage off (brand new) and went for a spin.. and wa-la a Huge diffrence.. good power untill it hit about 3500, and then a huge boost righ to 5500 which seems normal for a 4banger (dident wana go any higher than 55)

so like i said im not used to these emmsions 4bangers, all i could think of is it has less restriction alowing better air/fuel flow, and chnging the mixture.. unless it has something todo with the emmisons stuff...????

so what do you guys think?

few things to do...

weber 32/36 carb
pacesetter header
probe 2.2 crank pulley
electric fan.

the carb will git rid of all the hoses.

what are the benefits to the probe 2.2l crank pulley?

smaller, lighter, gits you a tensioner for the alt. belt.

Sounds like your primary catylatic converter is plugged( the one right off the manifold ). go for the header first, it will make a huge difference.
