Man i havent been on here in a while. Heres the deal, im tryin to get my b2600 runnin so i can start drivin it. I did a head gasket set but i'm a dumb ass and didnt pay attention to the timing gears..... so i only have like 30 lbs compression and obviously isnt startin..

I reluctantly took the timing cover off and I'm tryin to get the gears set right. And the haynes manual is worthless.... Does anyone know how the gears are set in relation to each other???

I know the crank gear mark is straight up, is the cam gear the same???

All the manual says is to match the mark up with the plated link.... well i cant find any link that looks any different from the last.... HELPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

haha ya... well ya know... i entertain myself...

I got everything put back together and at first it jus turned over, then after a while it would hit on one cylinder then do nothin till i let it sit for a few minutes, then after a while it would sputter a lil more.....

so i dont know, i have compression now though, so thats good, maybe it'll start when i try it tomorrow

new problem, it starts and can run but i jus let it run for a while and now its overheatin, i have it filled with jus water and a radiator flushing additive.... would that cause it to overheat??? ugh... this truck is drivin me nuts...

it could be out a tooth, or the dizzy might be out too

that would be my guess to your off a tooth. and just warter is ok but over time you will build up a scale in the motor..
