all right, there is somtin really wrong with my truck, i started it up yesterday to warm it up so i could change the oil, started no problem everything is fine. then i jack up the drivers side, maybe a foot or so to get underneath to unscrew the drain plug and so on, change the oil no problem, aside from a spil, lowered it back to the ground and no it wont even turn over..... <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_confused.gif" alt=":?" title="Confused" /><!-- s:? -->

when ever you turn the key notin happen, no clicking or anything, batt has lots of juice in it. i think it might b somtin electrical, wat do you guys think?

good idea, i will check that out when i get home......but any chance does anyone know of a link to wiring diagrams for the starter or enging in general?

Attach voltmeter across battery terminals, should read 12 to 12.5 volts. Try to start engine; voltage should drop as starter engages or tries to engage, but voltage must remain 9.6 volts or more after 10 seconds of trying. If the voltage doesn't drop at all, may be your ignition switch, or even the starter. If you don't have a multimeter (get one, $12 for digital one at Sears), you can estimate by turning on the lights and seeing if they get dimmer.

I think this is entirely unrelated to your oil change.

first check the wire going to your starter sounds like it got bumped loose

Sounds like you bumped your battery cable either at the terminal itself or at the starter. Could be your grounds too.

But either way
