Alright my peeps, I'm putting a fuel cell in my mazder. I bought a 10 gallon cell from JEGS. It has -08AN male outlets. I bought 3/8" hose from the auto parts store to run the fuel, because that is what was originally on it. I'm just trying to figure out what fittings I need to buy, so I can run the 3/8" line. The outlet is big, but the line is kinda small..Any help is greatly appreciated.

jes has some fittings you can get and so do local auto parts stores. you need a 8an to hose fitting

You either need an -8AN Female to a 3/8"NPT Barb Hose Fitting

Or

-8AN to -6AN reducer, then to whatever you want whether it be a barbed or compression...

Are you using just regular 3/8" Fuel Line? Not braided?

yeah, i'm just using regular hose. The thing about getting the fittings from JEGS is that they make it sound like you have to use their fittings with their hoses.

these trucks came with 3/8? mine has 5/16 on the whole fuel system . would it make that much of a difference?

That's what's on there. It may not be original. It's had quite a few owners.

my truck has only had 2 others, but i trust there work as far as i can throw them . im not saying yours is wrong i was wondering if mine was.

5/16" is an odd-ball size in reference to AN Fittings...3/8" is the next best!

No you don't have to use Jeg's hose with that fitting....they want you to think that so you will buy it!

Don't buy from Jeg's they are overpriced on the fittings...you will have to get a -8AN to -6AN reducer no matter what, unless you want to run 1/2" line which is way overkill! Your carb will be swimming in fuel...lol

Here you go:
