does anyone know if the 87 - 89 RX7 motor will fit in a 88 B2200.....

you have to make motor mounts and i believe it mates up to a b2600 tranny w/ rx7 bell housing or use the rx7 tranny w/ a modified driveshaft. i am putting a 12a in my mazda

It mates up to the 2200 tranny if you swap the front bellhousing with the rx7 piece then you have to cut off 1/2" off the input shaft.You'll need to fab some sort of a motor mount setup tho.Goes great with truck gears.If you want you can use the rx's gears just swap the rear cases so then you can use the stock tranny mount and driveshaft.

The input shafts are different from the rx7 to the 2200 trans, the rx has a larger diameter input shaft.
