I need to adjust the valves in my truck it's a 87' b200, I was told to go one by one and turn the cam lobe straight up so there wasn't any pressure on the valve. Then put a feeler gauge under the valve and tighten it accordingly. Is this the correct way of doing it? I did a search and came up with ALOT of air valve posts lol and I'm not that far into my truck yet . Any help or info is appreciated thanks

Be very careful. I stripped a nut on my '86, and had to go to the STEALERSHIP to get a new one, they were friggin $13 each.

Do either of you two have a trick on tightening the lock nut so it stays in place?
