What trips the EGR light on the dash? Is there a test of the sysyem or should I just remove and inspect the valve and replace? Is there more to it than that?

ive never seen an "EGR" lite come on on a Bseries. The EGR valve can actually be taken apart and cleaned which should help if it really is malfunctioning.Best thing to do is go with a Webber carb and get rid of all the pollution crap including the EGR valve.

I did see the service writeup in the manual about a MIL light that came on at 60k and again at 80k miles. It did talk about switching the wires around to kill the light. So you think the MIL and the EGR light is one and the same? I have put Weber Carbs on other cars I have and they have made a BIG differance, Jeep, Nissan Pickup. Guess I may do the same to my B2200.
