Ok folks, my fuel gauge reads empty so today i pulled my dash to get to the gauges and got the voltage off the gauge. The ground read alittle over like .045, on other read like 2.53 and the last one read 23.4. These were measuerd with the gauges out, placing the meter where the pins of the gauges would have touched. When i put the guges back and the pins barly tuched at an angle the fule gauge would read full, well acutly past full, so we decide it must be some thing in the tank ? I read about some of the same year ford rangers and alot of people said that the float developed a hole and sunk. SO Im here for your professional oppinions on what could be wrong ? Im going to the junk yard tomorow to get a new tail gate handle, should i pick up a fuel gauge while i am there ? Thanx for you help >
