on my trucks engine their is this emissions control thing that just takes up all this space. i barely know enough stuff about the engine to take this apart, so is it a good idea or bad idea to take it off, and if its ok then how hard would it be to do?

buy a weber and you can get rid of almost everything under the hood bro. that huge bulky air cleaner will go away, along with all the emissions stuff on the passenger side fender.

oh, and to answer your question, you can not get rid of that and it still run right. not without replacing the carburetor with a weber.

its an after-market carb. for improved gas millage and a few extra ponies (the ponies aren't noticable though) however the gas millage is noticeable.... theres a few posts in the engine forum
