FE3 megasquirtII version.. what used?

wondering what version of megasquirtII you used? I noticed goes from 2.2 - 3.5. it's a really cool set up.

I think this question is answered in another post but for quick ref... i have an 87 mazda orginally carb so this is an OBD1? obd1 93-95, correct? so am I useing the stock KIA sportage ECU/PCM w/ the megasquirtII system? loos like the mazda is pre OBDI so is old school computer hook-up.

what other products did you purchase w/ your kit? wireing kit..? from what i understand you can tune MSII w/ your laptop? MS comes w/ a program?

also who has a map that i could "borrow?" lol

it would save me some headaches.

probably pick up the engine in rancho cordova in the next two weeks. order my ford EDIS off of ebay and megasquirtII.. should be good to go!

try getting ahold of fe3tcouriour on here. he has all the products your talking about in his setup and is a genius when it comes to stuff like this. hope the swap goes well. post plenty of pics and write up like you said cuz i would love to do this swap but wont do it unless my engine takes a poopy.

thanks man. I checked him out on the members list and he has no email. I've seen his posts on previous threads on the FE3 swap. hopefully he sees this and can help me out w/ his set-up. I would really like to move forward on my B2000. it sits outside the shop haunting me! lol would be a nice daily driver while i focus on my other project. plus it's been awhile since I've had a pick-up. even so i'll just have to do it old school and read as much as I can on the megasquirt forum. hopefully they can help me out. wireing actually looks really easy.

hardest part will be bolting her down! lol..
