Starter question...

As the subject says....with all the wisdom that is on the sight, is a manual tranny starter the same as an auto tranny on the b2200's?

reason being, if it is the same other than the power output, I can save having to get a shop rewind my starter to make it more powerful, I have a feeling the .8kw that the stock unit puts out won't be quite strong enough to last with the higher compression of my motor with out a little stouter unit....I sorta have a feeling that the teeth count on the starters are gonna be different, possibly even the mounting pattern...

If u have a vatozone buddy,cross reference the part numbers between 2.2 manual,2.2 auto, and the mid 80s RX7 with an A/T.the A/t in the 2200 is the same one used in the RX7 but I bet the starter on the RX is a little beefier IF it will fit.BJ

yeah, got a budd, but I don't think he would order both without having some $$ for them, may go see if he would help a bro out....
