O2 sensor, looking old. time for a new one(the hole above the o2 sensor, whats that for?)

the hose going from my Rocker arm and to Air cleaner assembly. On top of my cover the hose has oil around where it meets the cover,Waht causes this?

PVC Looks brand new huh..lol. I guess i need a new one! I'm Guessing this is the hose leaking prob.

I have noticed these are crimped alittle. As i can get from my Haynes book, it was part of a Secondary air hose assembly. What was the purpose of the hose that was there? And how they were crimped is that ok?

Any info will help me,the truck has been running rough. idles kinda high and also it just died on me the other night, but started right back up!

If your talking about the big hole above the o2 sensor its for a hose that goes to the bottom of the air intake of your aircleaner assembly. the second question, if the hose is loose it will leak, and if you dont put the bolts back in that hold down the air cleaner assembly oil comes out those also. And whats in your hand is not the pcv valve it's there at the other hose coming off the valve cover, pop it out and shake it and see if it rattles, it not its bad. that will deff. make your truck run like crap and push oil out every were. and the last question I removed all that crap when I put on my weber and header, If you want it you can have it, that is if you want your truck back together stock. Just PM if you want the stuff!

actually the PCV valve is in the little bump on the front of the valve cover.what u have in your hand is a filter forair being drawn into the air cleaner from the valve cover.I also have the pollution stuff missing from ur truck if u want to put it back stock, and I have a heat riser hose that ur missing that goes from the exhaust shield to the air cleaner horn.bj

Ya hoc is right, thats not the pcv. I work at autozone

So for pic 1, the big hole is for a PREHEATER HOSE, it goes from that hole to the underside of the air cleaner assembly.

Pic 2: Maybe i'm wrong but i thought that hose plugged into the PCV valve on the valve cover. I'd get a PCV valve, and that hose (good luck with that, jus ask em to match it to somethin close cuz they won't have that exact one)

Pic 3:That thing you're holding is the BREATHER FILTER, and a failed PCV valve causes it to get like that

And pic 4: I have no clue, i have a B2600 sorry that i'm no help with that one.

So you need a PCV valve, breather filter, matching hose, preheater hose (measure the diameter so you know what size you need, and the length you need) and the O2 sensor...... you have those hoses for the front of the air cleaner right??? get those too if you don't!

Pic 1- i ordered my new O2 sensor today from Autozone OE type not universal crap! and that hole thats missing the hose i could use it Kez i'll take it!
Pic 2-there is a bolt missing on the cover to hold down the assembly. and the hose is alittle loose
Pic 3- sorry i thought i the book they talked about that being the PCV filter(Not Valve). Valve is good!
Pic 4- no hoses on the front of the air cleaner assembly,What are they called?

Damn i need a weber and new headerlife would be easyer! lol

i have the #4 parts if you want them you pay shipping plus like 10 bucks all they do is go from the crimped parts on your motor to the front of the ari cleaner assembly where the grey part is in the front

Pic 4 one of the hoses goes to the manifold where those ends are cut off and the other 2 actualy go to the exhaust below the 1st catilitic converter. the are rubber out the breather about 6in then metal. and sorry bro I dont have the hose off the manifold your asking about, but I think you can get the cheap. My last B2000 didnt have one and never needed it, Its mostly for cold climates to help with warm up. Oh but I have every thing else your missing just let me know, its yours if you want it.

in pic 4, you can unscrew those 4 fittings, and get pipe plugs that drop right in. At least its what I did to my previous 3 mazdas. The 2 lower I just hacked, smashed, crimped, hammered, then welded them shut.

(after I got a Mr. Gasket 2bbl to 4bbl adapter, and ran a 14" diameter, 2" tall chrome filter, and called it a day.)
old as dirt, but half ass shows it. Also, I believe EACH and EVERY B series should have an electric fan installed. Its GOTTA free 15hp. Seriously.

Electric fan makes that much difference?
lowb2200   +1y
my bad about those pieces i was talking about kez's89 is right about them but i still have them if you want them just let me know and also i didnt think the electric fan would make that much of a difference but my buddy who has a 2600 with the 2.6 swears by electric fans because it helps to cool the motor because of the 2.6's cooling problems i dont really know but im just going by what he told me
