Ok guys hear me out. I know when you got water in the oil its a blown head gasket, or cracked head. Ok, what causes gas in the oil? Actually, worst yet, what causes the gas in the radiator? I was told its not possible, obviously it is, mines like that.

gas in oil usually means washed rings (bad) gas in waterheadgasket to the best of my knowlage

or u have a crack in the water jacket of ur intake manifold letting gas seep in where the carb coolant/heater water runs.if that is happening should notice water disappearing from ur rad.BJ

yeah. it disappears. you have to fill it up twice aday. so a new in take manifold i guess? is there anyway of re-ringing the pistons without pulling the motor(no cherry picker available)?

You don't need a new intake manifold, just a new intake gasket. If you wantto do the job right you're going ot have to pull the block out. Other wise you gotta pull the oil pan, and pull everything from the bottom. But I would hone the block while at it if I was you and for that you need to remove the head and get a gasket set, and while you're at it, replace the rod bearings. you're looking at $300 in expenses at least.

yah that sounds about right. if your only doing the rod bearings you can leave the tranny on and the crank in, just be carefull when honeing it out to make sure you clean out everything real good! and the head will have to come off, then just slide the pistons strait up
