Hi Everyone.
I've got a problem.
My a/c compressor clutch is not engaging do to not receiving any power. I hooked up a volt meter to the clutch power wire and nothing. But i did run a jumper wire from the battery to the clutch and it engaged. So that tells me that the clutch is good. So it has to be electrical. I checked the a/c fuse and it was good. The blower works on all speeds like it should. And when i push the a/c button in the light comes on, so that seems to work like it should. I've pulled out the glove box to reveal the relays and wires. The relay clicks as soon a i push in the a/c button. So that also seems to work as advertised as well. I'm stumped and not sure where to go from there.
Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

a/c button on the dash is prolly bad...hook it to a toggle switch

even though it clicks do you have power comin out of the A/C relay

definatly could be a pressure switch as well. i have no idea where they are, but the clutch will only work if they are. to test them just unplug & put a jumper in the connector

Make sure you have enought free on in the system this will make the clutch not engage as well. There is a sight glass on the passenger side front might be covered with rusty crap i had to scrape some off mine any way. you shouldn't see any bubbles in the system.

Every time mine has done this, it's been low freon. It had the same symptoms.
