yeah, the only problem with me leaving it in the truck is that you have only 2 choices. either, pull the engine and tranny or cut the exhaust to get it out of the way. i didn't want to mess with my exhaust so i went ahead and yanked the engine. but on a good note, i drove it to work today with only the 4 spds and she actually runs pretty good at 60-65 mph in 4th. don't know what my milage will be like but she isn't whining like she is being rev'd to high or anything. hopefully i won't be in the states for a whole lot longer to have to mess with her anymore until i get back.

Not to sound like a tard but I no on my transmisson, once you move it all the way to the left you kinda have to move it even more and then pull down. Im sure you know about that trick.

hmmm, yah im thinking that the little shaft that controls those gears might be off abit inside the gear box or might just not be aligned properly with the arm that runs forward from the shifter?

when i did my rx7 gear set swap i had a problem with a leak around the tail housing so all i did was take out the tail housing while it was all still in the truck alot easier and you can check out to the see if anything looks out of places? all the notches should line up nicely in a strait line just make sure you put it in neutral before you pull the shifter out.
