ok so i picked up what was supposed to be a 302 and an auto tranny both for $50. i got it home and started taking it apart when i too the intake manifold off turns out its actually a 351w. the head gasket blew out and it sat for a a few years i guess. well atleast from what i can see on the rusty heads. so yeah the heads need replacing and the block needs to be bored out. but anyway i was just wondering how much taller is it then the 302? and will i be able to keep my stock b2200 hood or atleast the b2600 hood?

I think the 351W is the same as a 302....but I know the 351 cleveland's have 1" more deck height thatn the 351W.
Or I might have it completly screwed up..I will shut up now

i really would like to keep the stock hood.

i know that my dad has some nice shiney goods for a small block 302. for sale.

I am 96.592% that the blocks are the same. Length, width, and height.
