OK, so I picked up a running engine out of a '91 b2200 to swap into my '89 b2200. Got everything in and going smoothly right up until we tried to get the engine and tranny bolted together. NO GO!!. The splines on the shaft are all good but it seems to not wanna go into the pilot bearing, I pried, wiggled, cursed out, even tried sweet talking it but still nogo. Does anyone know if the bearing or shaft size is different between an '89 and a '91?

The zone list that part as the same are you 100% sure you got the clutch disk and flywheel lined up if you did not use a tool you really should. The zone says they carry the tool to line it all up for like 4 bucks

^ Yup. I ran into the same problem a few weeks ago and my clutch disk was off just enough to keep it from coming together.

on the bright side, once you found the tools and still had trouble, they always make a handy throwing object.

^^^ True and cause they're plastic they usually don't break anything important
