i have had that happen and it ended out being a vacuum leak. check all of the vacuum fittings on the manifold that they are capped off good. you can spray some starting fluid while its idleing at the fittings. if your motor revs up, it means the vacuum leak is coming from wherever you sprayed.

Well the noise goes away when the rpms gets higher the noise goes away. I'm thinking the gaskets between the Weber plates might have a leak. Wouldn't soapy water just do as good, as starting fluid?

no use starting fluid or wd40 cause it burns spray around the base of the carb if it runs different than you found your problem

Use staring fluid. WD40 doesn't work. It use to, when it use propane as a propellant. They change the propellant to non flammable now!
