Is there a how-to some where? I used the search button and nothing came up but your post. Is there another website where I can get information on checking the rocker arm clearances?

"An .008 feeler should be a snug fit between the cam base and each of the loose rockers"
Does it matter if I check the clearance on the valve side or the cam side of the rocker arms?

ok I adjusted the first two rockers, the rest were within the specs cam side and valve side. I have another ?, the top inside of the valve cover has a plate with a gasket. I removed the plate and the gasket ripped apart and needs to be replaced. Where could I find that gasket? Checked auto zone and nothing. Also I dont know what problems this could cause or have caused, but the breather port on valve cover towards the front was clogged. Thanks for the help

ok got it put back together and started it up and I still get that annoying clanking sound. I dont know what else to do but start looking for another engine. Any other suggestions?
