Hydraulic Lifter Assembly? If thats what your talking about, I have changed mine over to solid lifters.

are you sure its the HLA's? check your oil journals in your rocker arms. if they are plugged up, it will prevent them from getting oiled, and there fore cause the ticking.

i did mine. its easy and it quit ticking once you pull the rocker just pull the HLA out with pliers and put in the new one

i hate engines... im so confused... solid lifters.. hyrdaulic lifter assembly... i was following it untill slants comments.. I thought swappin to solid lifter was a meticulous process... gotta keep everything in order etc.

How much does this cost anyway?? to switch to solid lifters...

this is to replace the HLAs on the rocker. See no need to switch to solid when brand new HLAs are like $7. So if it's as eaasy as you say it is, i'm doin it

switching from hydraulic to solid is as simple as unbolt and bolt back in a total assembly. to replace the hydraulic lifters, you would have to take apart the rocker assembly and put everything back in the same order and not to lose any springs and such. alittle harder but not too bad to do.
