Show Ideas?

I'm president of our car/truck club here in MI and im putting together a car show in may. My question is what do you guys think would make a good show? Basicly what kind of events should i hold, and stuff like that. Its going to be kinda family orented (so no wet t-shirt contest) we already have a DJ, a coulple venders selling drinks and food, and some inflateble games for kids (moonwalks and such), anything else that would be cool? Also what prizes would be best? Were on a limeted budget so stuff like rims or bags are out. This is the first time ive put together anything like this so any advice would be great, thanks.

Go to your local companies and propose a sponsorship. Ask them to donate some prizes or gift cards or what not in exchange for promotion at the show. Plus invite them to open a both or something at no charge.

Have a public judging to be fair and not look like people from your club win.

damn...I dont have a clue on how to throw a show, and havent thought about it...but GOOD LUCK!

well what did you like at some shows youve been to?

well,
1.The weather has to be nice.
2.No other shows the same date, in the same state.
Other than that, I wouldnt know what to tell you.

i like drinking and partying, and girls and truckruns... so my ideas are out...
people like trophys... they make good paper weights.

update to that... i like shows where people just get together and hang out, with no trophies... or at least no best of show trophy. i hate it when people stack their crap in front of their ride. roll out the blue astro turf and park on it with the frilly shit. no best of show trophy!!!
