88 2200 emissions....

i have an 88 2200 and and im determined to tear the emissions out, are there any kind of electrical problems that might arise? or is it as simple as it looks?

its simple but if your useing the stock carb your gonna have lots of problems...

You motor will go into "Limp Home" mode and run very rich. You more than likely will mistaken this for a "performance" increase, but in fact you are just shortening the life of your motor. We all know what happens to motors that run rich, they die. The only correct way to do it is to replace the carb with a Webber. 32/36DGEV is best for a daily driver, get one off ebay for around 300-350. Get a Header while you are at it.

I was about to do the same thing. But instead I bought a weber 32/36 shipped from ebay to my door for $280 total. Trust me, Its worth it.

i done the same thing and i was going to buy a webber this week but now i'm burning oil so saving for an engine rebuild instead

That sucks man sorry to hear.
I need one bad but can't till payday next friday. Mine is acting up a lot now, I think it's flooding the engine and i'm going through gas at an alarming rate. Might have to ask the parents for a loan

Me and a buddy of mine took a good look at the truck this evening and he says its just the valve seals again last time i let the hole in the wall shop up the road do valve seals for me

That sucks that your mpg is so bad mine is about fifteen which isnt much less thatn before but i dont like the little puff of black smoke it makes when you try to accelrate

I believe thats unburnt fuel from it running too rich
