Pretty sure that is out of a Mazda Bongo van.

if that is from a bongo, you can use that head for an F2T conversion (i believe) and you don't have to worry about the distributor contacting the firewall. Looks like it's leaking oil on the exhaust side of the block.

Damn..............I've been wanting one of those heads for a minute....and the bidding ended earlier today, argh!! not sure on the intake, it is backwards & would put the tb in the firewall, and the crank pulley is different, and it has an auto tranny, but as I originally said, damn, I coulda delt with those issues for $700 just to get ahold of that head, heck I coulda sold the tranny & made my money back....this is me kickin myself in the posterior

oh, yeah, mazda bongo/friendee ford sumthinorother....12v head, like the 626 & probes, just the dizzy is on the correct end of the motor, so no fire wall clearancing, not to mention that intake looks promising to mod since it is a two piece bolt together, whereas the cars version has to be cut then flipped......It'll make some one a nice turbo motor engine/head!!

Nice, Thanks for the head's up Tweaker....timing is kinda off in my dept tho, as much as I'd like to have it, or one like it at least, I'll have to pass over it due to lack of fundage at the moment, maybe down the road I'll be lucky enough to run across one in good shape...

I am new to the forum, but have been driving these little trucks for years. I currently have a 1991 B2200 cabplus with a blown engine. I am not really sure what I should do. I have priced long blocks (nice to have warranty), but I would like to upgrade somewhat. Considered a 4.3 chevy swap, but not sold on it. Have many of you had good luck using JDM engines in B2200s? I have known of horror stories where the computer would not work, timing was different, ect. Of course this was always on cars. Is it a problem on our trucks? I have been studying the Kia swap some too....ahh this is confusing.
