I have an 1989 B2200 and I want to eliminate all the emissions stuff that connects to the breather. Could someone give me some advice as to how to take care of this? My 87 B2000 already had this done but the 89 has never been touched as far as I can tell. I am going to get a weber but until I get the money I would like to find a way to clean that up. Any help is greatly appreciated.
At first i cut and crimped the tubes that went from the exhaust to the breather then i got a header and took care of that. The vaccume lines from the carb to the crap on the pass. side fender well i am still trying to figure that out too. I just moved the stuff out of the way when i cut the fender well. Hope that little bit helps
Don't remove till you get the webber, If you do the truck will detect a fault and will run rich in limp home mode. You drive on this long enuff you will burn up your piston rings and start smoking, also getting worse gas mileage.
