so I dunno if this is really engine or not.....I was pretty pissed off yetserday and was grabbing gears pretty hard when I left outta my old shops parking lot...went to bang 4th and misshift and then suddenly I have this HUGE amount of play in my gas pedal....got underneath the dash a lil, and you can see almost a good inch of the cable from the gas pedal...anmd I can move my pedal quite a bit before it hits the cable. Also some srew, nut, bolt and washer suddenly appeared on my floor board...its not a mazda part for sure...looked like something from Home Depot rigged up but no idea where it was or what it was put too......can anybody get me some good lit up pics of they gas pedal area? Truck runs but running weird....they play in the pedal is bothering me as it used to sit normal...mow with all that play...it only moves a quarter of what it used too.....demon strikes again!!! LOL.

TIA!

Injected. Well I checked that and it was still in the groove slots. I took all the adjustment out of the cable and it still sits a lil loose but working better. After that it was running SUPER RICH again. Wondering if I have a hose crapping out somewhere....it not really missing but ....heck I dont know how to describe it. got it running and ran up to get some petrol.....and at about 3500 it bogged so hard it threw me forward almost into the windshield and made a popping noise...loud popping noise...but that went away just as fast. Later it just started running fine....ilde picked up from 500/cutting out and dying....to idle perfect about about 750/800 and doing just fine. Anybody got any ideas? I THINK I might have a air leak somewhere cuz of a hose...but god knows where.

Might throw a timing light on it to make sure your belt didn't slip a tooth. I know I reved out first and hit second hard one time and it happened to me. Just a thought.

yea...might do that too...just gotta hunt down a lite now. I had one but...well lets just say my tools arent what they used to be once.

is there a crank position sensor? I know on my olds cutlass there was a slot that would get gooed up, it would run all sorts of crazy...people would say I need a new sensor ($350) and I would get out a lil degreaser, clean the slot and have the problem solved for $0.38............go figure
