kinda late, but you can use it, just need to check the journals for runout, and check the line on the cam mains on the new head....when you install the cam, start to hand tighten the bolts to lock down the mains on the cam (by correct sequence), the cam shouldn't move, if it does, that is a good indication that the run out on the cam journals doesn't match with the line on the cam mains.....this would require some machining....all in all, it is better to use the cam that came with the head if at all possible...
