ok i just installed a weber 32/36 on my 89 b2200. can i plug the vaccum line from the distributor to any of the ports on the side of the carb? and i had to cut the wire for the electric choke since it was soldered on and now i cant find it can anyone tell me where it goes? and i know its been beat on a million times but im looking for a straight answer on exactly what can be cut out of the wiring harness since a big chunk comes from the starter and alternator and the harness wraps all the way around the engine bay. maybe someone has some pics. sorry but i havent worked on the truck in like 2 yrs im a lil rusty

idk about the vaccum line but as far as the the choke it just needs a 12volt power source that is hot with the key on

yea i thought it just needed to get the choke coil hot i just dont get everybody sayn yank the wiring harness out when it wraps from one side to the other.thanks for the info

no everybody says yank out all the vaccuum stuff and what includes it on the pass side. the harness that runs under the intake stays intact. as far as the choke wire goes, it plugs in behind the alternator. i dont know where the vacuum hose goes on the 32/36, ive got a 34.

Everybody says you can just pull everything out i just been trying to get some ideas on how to run everything cause like i said i haven't worked on the truck in like 2 yrs i just got fed up with it and now i got a spur and i need some pointers

Choke plugs to the back of the alternator. I cut mine off the stock carb cuz it was soldered and just replaced it with a new connector. Vac for the dizzy should plug into the vac port on the carb, the one on the right. The harness from the computer can be completely removed. It does not go around the engine bay. You need to unwrap just a small section to follow the harness. The only wires left should be for the wiper motor. I removed everything. Comp and harness, egr, evap canister, and pluged all vac ports except for the one that goes to the brake booster and one for the dizzy. I'll see if I can get some pics.

thanks those pics were great. what are those relays and such for that you left on the inner fender well. i dont have any of that left. there is absolutely no fender i just got to find a place to mount the fuse block.

I wasnt sure what those were for so I left them in. Thought they could be for the headlights or ac relay so I didnt bother with them. If someone knows what they are that would be great so I can yank them out if its not needed.

I forgot to mention, make sure you disconnect the battery before you cut anything and then connect it back to check if everything still works. My starter turned over when I cut my comp wires with metal cutters. kinda scared me a little.
