carbed or fi?

if carbed... then i'm sure you may be able to... but have to get in the tank anyway... might have to replace the whole drop in assembly? i dont know if you could keep the old pump inline and just pump through it?

i would just replace whats there...KISS= keep it simple stoopid... not calling you stoopid though...lol

i was wanting a fuel cell and figured it would be easier with a mechanical pump.

the cam is the same..it does have the lobe and the provisions on the head for the pump..just make sure you use the spacer that goes on the fuel pump base..that and there is a check valve in the fuel line directly off the the inlet fuel to the carb that you gotta pull..it restricts flow and holds the pressure in the fuel system..mech pumps don't like it (found out the hard way!!)..i've had to do a few of these..but sometimes the fuel pump gets clogged from being fried so you gotta pull the sender sometimes and trow in a carbed sender....but if you're doing a cell it's even easier..just plug it in and go!
