Hi all
Over the last week my B2000 performance has been deteriating until today it would not idle.On looking the fuel filter was full of crap so i replaced it.All good!!!! No way.Still not running right. Then took off the top of the carb and see a jet at the bottom of the fuel bowl blocked.Got that sorted set fuel level to mark on sight glass and put back together.Cranked it up and still no good.At this stage will rev ok but at idle it will gradually die.Looking down the primary venturi i see raw gas spurting out the primary nozzle at all revs.Is that right????.This carb is driving me crazy.Your thoughts please guys.Just feel like biffing the carb over the fence as you can imagine. Is there also a bolt on replacement cause this ones also got vacum hoses all over the place. This is a auto choke carb and PCV valve is all good.
Cheers

Gazza

One solution...................weber!! Just my two cents.

Look for a good used weber on craigslist or ebay...

if not then look up on the holley 5200 or what ever its called..

if you still dont find anything then just go and buy a new weber with the adapter plates and what not

The stock NIKKI carbs on these engines are, well - JUNK! Most of the time once they start having problems it is tough to get them working right again. If you need to keep the stock carb for emissions reasons, then a complete carb rebuild kit will probably be your best bet. There probably is some dirt in the idle passage that needs to be cleaned out - if you can figure out where that is. Good luck.
