Welcome to the site. Theres quite a few options, 302 or 350 v8, 4.3 v6, or just a fuel injected 4 cylinder like the FE3 or the F2T turbo out of the mx-6. Just depends on what your looking for.

ok so what would the pros and cons be for thoes options??

The v8's are simple if you go carbed because theres basically no wiring involved you'll just need to build new motor mounts, trans mount and a new driveshaft, etc.

The v6 could be carbed, or you can keep the FI, but you will have to swap all the wiring and ecm's from the donor vehicle which can be a pain and time consuming and you'll need all the mounts and such like in the v8 swaps.

The fe3 is a bolt in swap, you can use all the stock mounts, transmission, driveshaft, but theres alot of wiring involved to make it run. The f2t is about the same, but takes some thinking because the distributor among other things face the firewall when used in the truck.

All depends on what you are comfortable with doing and what you want to end up with its finished.

with the v6 and v8 you would need to fab somethings only con i could think of...... the FE3 is a Direct bolt in. as well ad the b2600I motors. the fuel injection version.

The b2600i motor will need new motor mounts if going in b2200. But for all the trouble of going through a swap the b26 motor is kind of unreliable and not that much of an increase in hp, so its not really worth it in my eyes.

Carburated rotary is a pretty simple setup. I've seen carburated turbo rotary setups before.

Going injected is lots of wiring.
