complete engine rebuild kit

For those who have rebuilt their engines did you use a rebuild kit if so what kind and where did you get it im selling my 04 gto due to baby boy on the way and am giving the b2k a complete overhaul for reliability I've found some kits online but just want to know what everyone else has used

shoot when i seen the title i thought for a second that when i opened the thread.... there would be a complete engine rebuilt kit forsale cheap.... but was failed..... i plan on gettin a complete overhaul kit and a new head.... new header... and install my weber when i do my rebuild

Lol nah sorry yea I've found all kinds of kits and so called complete kits for around 5 or 600 but I haven't seen any reviews on any of it so I wanted to check and see what other people did

I've not bought one my self, but I've heard these are some that are very reliable and great quality.



Some have been successful with Ebay kits by I wouldn't chance that at all.

I have ordered 2 kits from ebay with no problems, and if remember they were around $350 and that was with new pistons... only 1 of the 2 i used the pistons. I have had problems with the main seal that comes in the oil pump. The next one i do i am going to knock the seal out and put a diff one and glue it in. I can check and see who i got the last one from. I also found a place online to get valve train parts real cheap.

i bought a kit on ebay but it was just a gasket kit, no pistons or pumps. i compared it to the felpro kit and it actually included more obscure gaskets that the felpro kit didnt include.

Thanks for the congrats man and yea I've seen the ebay kits and have found a website that includes a lot but I wasn't sure if any of the kits I've found on ebay or the web might have been leaving out any issential parts I would hate to pull that motor apart rebuilld it and end up not haveing something I really need
