This is as good a place to put this quote as any other:

I got this in my e-mail.

It's a good question.

Maybe a poll needs to be run around to find out how many people have one carb or another.
I personally don't know much in the way of what specifications are standard in terms of valve timing, overlap, and lift.

I have some ideas to offer.

If any of you wants to help put together some kind of knowledge base regarding performance timing, now might be a good time to help by starting to accumulate data in this thread.

Editing will have to occur. I could do some of that, and probably put some basics out here in this thread, but this kind of has to be a cooperative endeavor or it won't work as a professional reference.

There are a lot of voo-doo theories about what works, and why it works.

Maybe some performance gains are possible, depending on what your goals are with your vehicle.
