ma truck has been running crappy the last month. i have changed the fuel pump and the dizzy cap and plugs, etc. thinkin it just needed a tune up. but that didn't solve the prob. i think it is something with the choke because it is either floodin are starving for fuel constantly. i checked all the timin and it is good. i noticed that i only have 7volts on the line for the carb choke. its coming off the back of the altenator. i was wondering what the voltage should be. it assume it should b 12v. and i think it isn't working the choke properly, which would explain the fuel prob.

any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes, you need 12vdc on the choke. That's how I have my Weber set up, works great.

The fuel starvation issue may be a bad cam lobe (the one that drives the mechanical fuel pump) Some guys run electric pumps once that happens, just need to remember that the Weber wants only 3.5 Psig fuel pressure

check to see if any bolts or hardware have backed out at the weber adapter plate. mine did and it was sucking air there. made it run like a bucket of ass.

thanks man. i didn't want to mess up the carb running 12v to it without checking. it might be the cam to because i have checked everything down to the timing.

and mickey, i know where you coming from. i had that issue a few months back. def makes a difference if one bolt is loose. thanks guys.

i will check that out and see if it helps
