THANKS!!! im sure i could get a coolant system pressure tester and tap and die set easy. and i did see some bubbles when i was doing the rad flush with that $3 crap from auto zone but it was like 3-4 bubbles every minute or so not a constant stream but the weird thing is that the water would pulse up and down and flow over then go way low then flow over then way low, would that be the pulsing your talking about???? im guessing that would be when that cylinder that is leaking fires and pushes gas into it... grrr. lol

this time i'll take it to a real shop, my pops brought it to napa and had them rebuild the head the first time, when i asked a question about the rebuild the guy that rebuilt it himself was talkin crap about "who" did the job HAHAHA i didnt have the heart to tell the guy he's the one who did it HAHA

maybe i should just drop a 2200 in it and call it a day

you know when i asked this question a few years ago, i was told that you could not reuse them for the reasons i previously posted. kinda wish you were there to save me a few bucks tweaker, haha. oh well, at least now i know and back then i used brand new bolts so i didn't have to worry about that. some good info here. hope you get your truck running soon neptune.

ive had the heads off a couple different of these engines and always use the old head bolts. if your that worried about it you can always torque the bolt an extra pound or two.

Right now it is sittin in the garage awaiting on my return. haha. I am contracting in Afghanistan paying all my bills off so I can get back home debt free and begin the build. I have got some insane ideas for her now and once I get home and get my old job back it won't be coming out of the garage until it is feature worthy. A few plans include a sfbd with a tubular frame, diesel swap, rx7 irs, full sheetmetal dash, and much more. And yeah the trailer will be matching the truck. It is gonna be a sweet build and I can't wait. haha. I will finally be able to afford what I really want to do to her. So I am very stoked.
