it took me several minutes to strip the wires to see what i was working with. im running a weber now and am trying to clean up the fender well on the passenger side... what i need to know is where do the wires that are still attached go to and how can i disconnect them possible without cutting them???? i already know that the blue wires goto the wiper motor and know that i need to keep those.

well arent you lucky i just did this on the weekend

theres a white plug that connects the 2 together, easy wat to get at it is, get under the dash remove the large heat duct thats attached to the blower motor, then you will find 3 10mm bolts, 2 on the firewall and 1 unup high under the dash near the glove box, then the blower motor wil drop out of place with a little wiggling, you dont need to unplug it, just move it out of the way, now you will see the white plug thats conneted to it up plug it, then you should be able to pull the whole harness out of the truck along with the ecu, now what i did was stripped ALL the tape from the harness, and pushed the firewall grommet back to as cloce to the plug, and pull aside all the wiper wiring, including the ground wire, then cut all the unused wires off to get them out of the way, then move the grommet to the other side, u can then either cut the unused wires off flush with the plug or use needle nose pliers and pull the pins out... once your finished wrap the wire back up in tape starting at the wiper plug, dont include the ground wire, then push the wiper wires back through the firewall and plug it in to the motor, then put your grommet back on, then once you have the desired slack, tape the wires to the grommet to hold it in place, then plug in the other side under the dash, and you can ground the wire to where the computer was mounted or anywhere you want, as long as it a good clean one, then tape and tuck away the rest of the wire under the dash, and reassemble the blower motor and duct

and thats how its done, and hope it helps
if anyone has anything to add plz do so

sweet. thanks... what i did with the gromt is cut a seam in it from the firewall to the tip (i will use some rubber glue on it when i put it back together and put the seam on the bottom so its not visiable).... so when i unplug the plug behind the blower i wont have to cut any wires since i did my gromt this way??

well you need to cut them to get rid of the unused wires, the only wire you really should have left in the plug behind the blower plug would be the wiper wires and the ground wire
