Miata 1.8 motor?

OK so my question is has anyone done this before. If so how much trouble, I understand motor mounts will have to be made. Just curious, long story short my wife's miata just got totaled and the motor and tranny are good. So I have a whole car just not sure if its worth the headache.

do it, its a pretty easy swap, i wanted to do a mazdaspeed miata swap

Just wondering what I will need. Only motor swaps I have done before have been replacement motors nothing involving new harness and computer. What will I need from the car: computer, harness, fuel pump an sending unit, what about the instrument cluster?

if that 1.8 bolts to the trans no need to swap the cluster.... not sure about the rest... theres a few guys over on mazdatruckin that are big into doing some crazy swap (5 cly. turbo diesel, 626 turbo 2.2 with megasquirt, fi 302 with megasquirt, 6.5l diesel and some other crazy swaps) one of the guys that has done a bunch of engine swapping around is dealwithit

dealwithit is a member on here now. i seen him post the other day. If the miata is a manual car then i would use the tranny with it too. makes for a sportier truck. if its an auto you can take the bellhousings and swap them to bolt the truck tranny up.
