Okay, so I'm working on my swap (Series 5 13b turbo and tranny into '89 B2200). With just the tranny mounted it lines up fine, the engine lines up and mounts fine by itself, but once the two are bolted together and put in, the tranny and engine sit at an angle with the front upward. I'm wondering if anyone has done this swap that know where to get engine mounts that will drop the engine down. If I get rid of the a/c compressor there's more room in front.
What I'm looking for (either to be pointed into the direction of what vehicles might have had some like it or where I could get them made and shipped to my location) is mounts that are at a 45 degree downward angle to meet with the frame mount but continues down and flattens out or drops 45 degree angle that then drops straight down and bends at 90 degrees to mount into the engine. Basically I need the front to come down in order to make the tranny fit right, rather than cutting the tunnel and worrying about structural integrity and putting the driveshaft at an angle.
