B2600's and 2200's are entirely different animals.
Just because a Weber on a Mazda B2200 passes under emission radar in Georgia, this does not mean that an older Mazda truck with a different engine and a Weber will in another state.
Dino, before you go to the expense and trouble of swapping a lot of parts, I would like you to do something for me.
Go to an emission station and ask for a training mode test. Make sure the engine (catalytic converter) is good and hot at test time. If it passes the training mode test, run your emissions test. You're done.
The training mode test does not report to the State. If you flunk that, don't run the "real" test. Get the results and post them here.
What that will do is provide you (and some mechanics that hang out around here) with information necessary to maybe squeak you past your required test.
Usually the emission test guys are so impressed when someone asks for a training mode test that they will do it for free because they like to show off how much they know to an "insider." Offer some money to the guy anyway. You have just found a professional.
