Have a 91 mazda 2600i ext cab. picked the truck up for $500 about 2 years ago needed new computer. Put one in it and it ran fine. Did the air ride on it, yota suspension swap, shaving it and now for the last 6 months ive been having motor problems. Cant figure out whats goin on with it so just want to get rid of it and go with a simple b-series motor. Had a bud give me a 2200 motor and tranny. Question is has any else done this swap and what am i instore for during this swap.

I know the motor mounts or different and the power steering box is different. so to solve that was thinking about cutting the front clip from the 2600i frame and welding back on a front clip frame that had a 2200 motor in it.

Already got the weber and header ordered so that taken care of.

Any ideas if i have to swap of wiring harness or slip into the 2600i harness to make it work.

Other than i know i have to swap out my tank sending units and put in a inline fuel pump.

Any ideas or answers would be helpful thanks

good thing about using a weber is you can get rid of amost all of the engine wiring. all you need is hot and ground (also is the ground for the block) for the starter. hot and ground for the alt. and if your carb is electric choke a wire for that off the alt to the choke. as far as the motor mounts you could fab up some new mounts alot easier then swapping frame sections.
