K your main power (the one wire that bolts to the alt) is black and it should have power all the time.
The Black with white is the signal wire from your ignition switch and should have power with the key ON
The white with black is the wire for your alternator light and thats it.
The yellow is your choke heater
And you should have one more thats a ground...But the diagram doesnt show me a color or a connector for the ground so there's a chance that your alt grounds its self when you bolt it up. So make sure the spots where the alt bolts up to are clean of rust, debris that kind of stuff to make sure its got good connection. And also make sure your battery cables are clean too just in case. I'll double check the connectors and stuff on my 88 B22 when I get to work and i'll let you know for sure how the alt gets its ground.

get a test light and check your powers first and foremost though. If you haven't gotten the chance yet, get her done lol i bet that will show the problem.

And if you want some faster help Pm me and i'll give you my cell and you can text me sometime

you can either upload them here to the gallery or use photobucket.com or any of the host sites and use the IMG CODE or direct code and use the Img button above the post box

There is a 10 amp fuse in the fuse panel that is probably blown.

it feeds the B/W wire.

So what was your problem?
silvermax1990   +1y
the black wire from the two wire plug didnt have 12 volts even though all the fuses were good, so i ran a fuse tap from the fuse box with a ten amp fuse straight to the black wire on the alternator. the truck started, i got 13.6 volts while it was running, let it warm up, shut it off, go to start it up the next morning and i only get spark on #1 cylinder. i already started anothed post for that. thanks

I am having the same problem but the wires on the two wire plug are green and white and green and black. I am going to check the fuses and see if there is a blown one but for the most part I think I spent $105 on a alternator I didn't need. Oh well its cleaned then the old one. For such a simple vehicle it sure is a bitch to work on.
