Alright well my engine is now on its last legs so i bought a new one from the wrecker. Its a 1990 mazda b2200 2.2 litre carbed. What i am looking for it the best place (or any place) in or around Vancouver B.C. that i can get a good price on a full rebuild kit (new pistons, waterpump, oil pump, everything), and possible weber carb and header.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

really i didn't realize there were that many of us in the vancouver area?? Anyway i have phoned a few places and searched google, but so far haven't had much luck on a complete kit, at least not anywhere near me, and anything i do find i can get it in a bunch of pieces but the prices are quite high, hoping i can find a whole kit and save a litle cash.

yeah, but everything is around here. I don't actually live in Vancouver i live a ferry ride away from Van, on the Sunshine Coast. It is always harder to find what i need here, usually i can find it in Vancouver tho, but for this looks like i may have to look to the states, and ship it up here.

Go to your local lordco and ask for a price.
i know they have a machine shop on the mainland and also a cylinder head shop on the mainland
a full rebuild block and new head will run you around $2200 cad.

well i talked to a guy up here who used to have an engine shop, he still has all the gear at his shop, but now only does work for ppl he knows, 250 got me a resurfaced flywheel, rebuilt head (new valves, valve grind, and shaved the head flat again), and cleaned up the block, honed the cylinders, and all that fun stuff, so i guess i can't complain.

for about 600 i am getting a gasket set, timing belt, rings, new main and con rod bearings, oil pump, water pump, .... i think thats it oh and i am gunna get a new clutch as well.

if anyone can think of anything else i need, or should get let me know.
